Every three years, the Central West LHIN develops a formal strategic plan, more commonly referred to as an Integrated Health Services Plan or IHSP. And, each year, the LHIN also publishes both an Annual Business Plan and Annual Report. While each serves a unique purpose, they all work together to provide the broader public with a meaningful overview of the work that is taking place and gains being made to transform the local health care system.
What follows is an overview of the LHIN’s current IHSP (IHSP 2016-2019) and the local programs and initiatives that, in collaboration with Health Service Providers (HSPs) and community partners, are being implemented to support a local health care system that places people and patients at the centre of their local health care system, improving their health care experience and their health outcomes.
