Long Term Care Home Service Accountability Agreements
Ontarians believe in public accountability and transparency to demonstrate that the health system is governed and managed in a way that reflects the public interest and promotes continuous quality improvement and efficient delivery of high quality health services to all Ontarians. The Long Term Care Accountability Agreement (L-SAA) is a service accountability agreement that sets out the terms on which the LHIN will provide funding to the Long Term Care Homes and the performance obligations of the Home in return for that funding.
On July 1, 2010, the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 (LTCHA) will be proclaimed into force. This marks an important millstone for Long Term Care Homes and the Central West LHIN as we anticipate having agreements in place by this date.
We encourage you to keep up to date with the latest information regarding the L-SAA.
