Dr. Hugh O'Brodovich - Director
After spending his early years on a farm in Saskatchewan, Hugh O’Brodovich attended the University of Manitoba where he received his medical degree and training in pediatrics and pulmonary diseases. After further training in the United States, he returned to Canada and later held the positions of Chair of Paediatrics and Paediatrician-in-Chief at University of Toronto/SickKids from 1996 to 2006. During that time, he participated in major initiatives to improve the coordination, integration and delivery of health care in Ontario, Canada and other countries.
As Chair of Pediatrics at Stanford University from 2008 to 2016, he participated in health care and health care reform in the United States. Other experience includes membership on the Boards of nationally recognized hospitals and relevant national and international medical societies.
He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Until his retirement in July 2016, he maintained an active research program and clinical practice.
