Brock Hovey

Vice President Corporate Services, Accountability and Quality

Originally from New Brunswick, Brock has worked in the Ontario Health Care System since 1988. In his role as Vice President Corporate Services, Accountability and Quality at the Central West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), he has leadership and oversight for the LHIN performance management and quality frameworks and processes  including funding allocation, performance monitoring and contract negotiations with LHIN Health Service Providers (HSPs) and Home and Community Care Service Provider Organizations (SPOs). 

Prior to his current role, Brock held various positions throughout his career including Vice President of Clinical Support Services and Chief Planning Officer at Lakeridge Health Corporation, Chief Executive Officer at Whitby General Hospital, Director of Accounting and Information Systems at Cornwall General Hospital, and Manager of Ambulatory Care Services at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB. 

Active in committee leadership and participation, Brock currently supports the work of the provincial Hospital Advisory Committee’s Health System Funding strategy by acting as Co-Chair of its Communications, Education and Knowledge Translation subgroup. Brock is currently Ontario Director of the Board of the Canadian College of Health Leaders and, in 2008, received the College’s Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Chapter Award for Distinguished Service. 

Brock obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick, a Master of Health Administration from the University of Ottawa, and has completed the Advanced Health Leadership Program at the Joseph L Rotman School of Management - University of Toronto. Brock is a Certified Health Executive member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
