Scott McLeod - Chief Executive Officer

Scott has over 25 years of health care management and planning experience in a variety of health-care settings, including hospitals and regional health authorities in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.

As Chief Executive Officer, Scott is responsible for providing strategic leadership to a professional team that plans, funds, integrates and monitors local health care services within the Central West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), one of 14 LHINs across the province of Ontario. The Central West LHIN funds 53 Health Service Providers (HSPs) with a total transfer payment of approximately $900 million.

Prior to his current role, Scott was the Vice President of Strategy and Business Transformation at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.  As a member of the Senior Team, he was accountable for the overall results and performance of a portfolio of departments including Strategy and Program Planning, Strategy Management Office, Emergency Preparedness, Research and Evaluation, Redevelopment, Communications and Marketing and Regional Ethics Program.

Prior to joining Trillium Health Centre, Scott was the Senior Director of Planning, Integration and Community Engagement for the Mississauga-Halton LHIN, developing its first Integrated Health Services Plan (IHSP) based on broad community and stakeholder engagement. Scott has also held roles as Director of Planning and Executive Director for the Halton-Peel District Health Council, and as Senior Consultant with the health-care consulting firm of Agnew Peckham.

Recognized for having an open, collaborative and results-oriented approach to planning and facilitation, Scott is a progressive, results oriented executive with proven experience and a comprehensive understanding of the continuum of health care. He brings strong visionary, strategic-planning and project-management skills; a commitment to continuous quality improvement; and, recognized skills in communication, negotiation and consensus-building. As a sought after change agent, Scott challenges the status quo with a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in the creation of solutions to complex problems.

Scott has a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba.
