Central West LHIN’s health system planning and funding functions are now part of Ontario Health, a government agency responsible for ensuring Ontarians continue to receive high-quality health care services where and when they need them.
Through a base budget of $845 million, provided by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC), the Central West LHIN funds a host of Health Service Providers (HSPs) and community partners in the regions of Brampton, Caledon, Dufferin, Malton, north Etobicoke and west Woodbridge. The LHIN works with local Health Service Providers (HSPs) to develop accountability frameworks that encourage transparency and ensure the best possible quality of care is available to all LHIN residents. The following accountability agreements outline responsibilities between respective local HSPs and the Central West LHIN, set activity and financial targets, lay out expectations for ongoing development and service delivery, and provide benchmarks so that HSPs and the Central West LHIN can measure performance year-over-year.
